Hello, 

We are so pleased to hear that you have chosen our school and that your child will be joining us from September this year. We know that this is a very exciting time for children and parents alike and we very much look forward to meeting you all. 

Next year the class teacher will be Mrs Atkin. Mrs Atkin is an experienced EYFS teacher and is skilled in ensuring an excellent transition into school. 

This year's transition model will consist of:

• Monday 12th May at 5:30pm - Reception 2025 Welcome Meeting - Meet Mrs Hansell and the EYFS Team. This will take place in the school hall. This will include important information regarding starting school in September. This is for parents or carers only. 
• Week Beginning 19th May - Transition Visits to Current Settings - Mrs Hansell and the EYFS Team will be visiting children at their current pre-school or nursery setting. This will be a visit to meet your child and to speak with your child's keyworker. Please ensure you have completed the form detailing information about your child's current setting. 
• Monday 19th May and Tuesday 17th June - 1:30 - 2:30pm - Daytime 'Stay and Play' Sessions - We will be offering 'Daytime' drop-in sessions for children. Your child will be able to meet the EYFS Team and explore their new environment with the current EYFS children. These sessions are to be attended with an adult.
• Thursday 5th June and Tuesday 24th June - 4:00 - 5:00pm - Twilight 'Stay and Play' Sessions - We will be offering 'Twilight' drop-in sessions for children. Your child will be able to meet the EYFS Team and explore their new environment after school hours when the school is quieter. These sessions are to be attended with an adult. 
• Wednesday 9th July - 9:30 - 11:30am - Transition Morning - Your child will be offered a morning visit to school to meet their class teacher and the children in their class. Your child will attend by themselves. 
• Monday 30th June and Tuesday 15th July - 1:30 - 3:20pm - Additional 'Stay and Play' Sessions - We will be offering additional 'Stay and Play' sessions where children will attend by themselves. 

You will be able to book places at some or all of the above sessions when you attend the welcome meeting. 

 

September 2025

All children will begin full-time from Wednesday 3rd September, which is the first day of term for all pupils.
